Author Guidelines
SUSURGALUR journal will provide a peer-reviewed forum for the publication of thought-leadership articles, briefings, discussion, applied research, case and comparative studies, expert comment and analysis on the key issues surrounding the history education and historical studies, and its various aspects. Analysis will be practical and rigorous in nature.
Prospective authors must adhere to the following guidelines: (1) Article length is 10 pages minimum and 20 pages maximum, including bibliography and appendices; (2) Abstract and its key words are included; (3) Article may be written by three persons maximum; (4) Article may also be written in English as well as in Indonesian and Malay languages; and (5) Attach a bio mentioning author’s current profession, photo, postal and e-mail addresses.
The article should follow the outline:
Title (brief, clear, and interesting)
Name of author (with full address and e-mail)
Abstract (in two languages i.e. English and Indonesian/Malay languages)
Introduction
Sub title
Sub title
Sub title (adjusted as needed)
Conclusion (including the recommendation)
Bibliography (contains literature cited in the text)
Citation takes the following form: “…” (Suwirta, 2007:45). Bibliography from books, journals, and unpublished sources should be written in the following form, respectively:

The article should be sent at least 3 (three) months prior to the publication (March and September), addressed to the editor of SUSURGALUR: Jurnal Kajian Sejarah & Pendidikan Sejarah. It is recommended that the article should be sent via e-mail at: susurgalur.jurnal2013@gmail.com and aspensi@yahoo.com
Information on the article’s possible publication will also be sent via e-mail. SUSURGALUR is the scientific journal nationally, regionally, and internationally, especially for the scholars of Southeast Asia regions. Published articles will require that the authors contribute the journal fee for editing, printing, and shipping costs which amount will be determined later by the editorial board.
Authors of published articles and paid the journal fee, he/she will get 3 (three) exemplars of the journal prints; and his/her full article in PDF and photograph will also be displayed in the journal website.
Since early 2016, the website of SUSURGALUR journal has been migrated from web based on WP (Word Press) program at: www.susurgalur-jksps.com towards the web based on OJS (Open Journal System) program at: www.journals.mindamas.com/index.php/susurgalur
Meanwhile, authors of published articles and unpaid the journal fee, he/she will not get the journal print. For unpublished articles, it will also not be returned, except on written requests from the author.
Articles in the SUSURGALUR: Jurnal Kajian Sejarah & Pendidikan Sejarah do not necessarily represent the views of the Editor or the Editorial Committee. The Editor is responsible for the final selection of the content for the SUSURGALUR journal and reserve the right to reject any material deemed inappropriate for publication. Responsibility for opinions expressed and for the accuracy of facts published in the SUSURGALUR journal rests solely with the individual authors. |
